Troubleshooting data out of date

Data Acquisition is the first step of the data pipeline that pulls data from the EHR, cleans it up, and makes it available for reporting and analysis in Relevant. This article presents tips for diagnosing and resolving common data acquisition problems.

Note: to access the areas of Relevant discussed in this article, users must have the “View Data Pipeline” ability. To edit pipeline configuration, users must have the “Manage Data Pipeline” ability.

The data acquisition succeeds, but data in Relevant is still out of date

If the data acquisition—and the remaining steps in the data pipeline—succeeded, but the data in Relevant is still days behind, check whether the source database itself has up-to-date data. The health center IT team or the vendor managing the source database may wish to check the following:

  • If the source database is a replica of the production EHR database, check the replication status.
  • If the source database is restored nightly from the production EHR database, check the restore logs.
  • If the source database is built by replaying transaction logs (e.g. for eCW cloud customers), check whether the nightly transaction logs were received and processed normally. - Read more about eCW cloud sync
